Horn Gauge

This is a horn gauge made of steel. The small hole is used to attach a rope to hang from your squeeze chute. The top hole is 2mm larger than a quarter.(yearlings and 2 year olds) The bottom hole is 2mm larger than a half dollar. (3 year olds and older) Industry standard is for yearlings and 2 year olds to be tipped to a quarter size. 3 year olds and older are to be tipped to a 1/2 dollar size. This is intended to be slid over the bulls horn. Use a sharpie to make a mark on the bull side of the gauge. Then cut where the mark is. This is to help you not cut horns shorter than they need to be. So that you don't cut down to the hollow of the horn.
